yogababy offers quality pregnancy yoga, baby yoga and birth education classes to empower parents to make conscious decisions about birth and parenting. Prenatal education, active birthing and aware parenting options are explored in the prenatal yoga and postnatal yoga classes. Through the regular practice of yoga it is possible to awaken a pregnant mother’s connection with her inner self, the baby and her connection with others. Parents confidence in themselves to experience conscious birth is enhanced through regular attendance at the yogababy classes and active birth workshops. yogababy’s mummy and me yoga classes and attachment parenting courses also help parents create an environment which offers the newborn privacy and protection from over stimulation.
yogababy is an advocate of natural birthing methods and supports parents to make informed decisions. An active birth is one in which the parents are aware of the choices available to them and they are able to make conscious decisions based upon rational and evidence based information. A birthing mother is encouraged to move spontaneously to find positions which enable the easy descent of the baby, to make sounds that help her to open for her baby and to be given the privacy and respect a woman in labour deserves. The key to an easier birth is confidence in the safety of the birth process and accessing deep relaxation through focusing on the breath. Breathing skills are a focus of the antenatal yoga classes taught by yogababy.
